Greetings from the Open Heart Mindfulness Community in Green Bay! You are invited to a special half day of mindfulness in July.
Dharma Teacher Trish Thompson, in Thich Nhat Hanh’s lineage, will be joining us on Wednesday, July 6, from 3:30 – 7:30 pm at the Mauthe Center on the UW Green Bay campus.
Trish lives in Vietnam, and leads annual trips throughout that country in the footsteps of Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) and other Buddhists. (David Zeman has been on that tour.) Last year she began offering a trip that combines touring with actual work; Margaret Alexander has been on that trip twice now.
At Thich Nhat Hanh’s request, Trish’s work includes reaching out to American veterans of the war with Vietnam. Several veterans have been on her tours, and she’s also in touch with other veterans working in Vietnam on projects such as the improvement of children’s health and the eradication of Agent Orange.
Please R.S.V.P. by Wednesday, June 29, to let us know if you will need a chair or will be on the floor (a limited supply of Zafus and Zabutans will be available, but please bring your own if you have them). Please R.S.V.P. via our contact page. You can contact us through this email address if you have any questions, as well.
If you didn’t RSVP by the June 29th and would still like to come, please do! We will make room for you.
